Recipe: Raw Energy Balls

Raw Energy Balls

12 pitted dried dates
1/4 cup cashews
1/4 cup almonds
1/2 cup rolled oats
1 tbsp vanilla
1 tbsp honey (or you could use maple syrup)
1/4 tsp sea salt
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp raw cacao nibs

Blend all of the ingredients except for the cacao nibs in a food processor. Once it is finely chopped and very sticky add the cacoa nibs and stir. Roll into 12 balls. Keep in refrigerator for 1-2 weeks.

These are the perfect pre or post workout snack. You'll be surprised how much power is packed in that sticky, sweet little ball. It's completely satisfying. They are quite filling too, so you could add one to your lunch or bring it to work for a snack. I bet kids would like them too.

Did you know I got a food processor for my birthday? Thanks Mom and Dad! I've been day dreaming about owning one for years. So far I've made 2 things: homemade lara bars and these raw energy bars.

Do you have a food processor? What do you make in yours?

  1. i just have a mini food processor but it sure does save the day when one is required! this recipe looks awesome.

  2. i want to try NOVA GRANOLA!!!
