Watch: Farmageddon

In the past few years I've become increasingly more passionate and excited about healthy living. I love learning about how to best feed and exercise my body. Beautiful food that is full of realness and nutrition thrills me. I recently came across a film that I'd love to see. Farmageddon. Ever heard of it? I wish there was a showing in Salt Lake City. It's important to think about where your food comes from.
This is a clip from a farmer named Joel. He rules.

I also love the What You Can Do tab on the Farmageddon site. Is there a showing in your city? I'm jealous and tell me about it.

Holiday: Cold Licks

It's July 1st and that means...
+Last day of school. (2nd year of teaching 1st grade-check)
+Summer can begin.
+and I'm headed to California in 5 hours.

In preparation for summer and the month and a half break ahead, I have been saving ice cream and popsicle recipes in my google reader. Last year for Christmas I got a Zoku and last summer I bought myself a Cuisinart Ice Cream maker. And it's hot outside. Let the festivities begin!!!!

Do you make your own ice cream or popsicles? I'm new at it, but these recipes are dripping with goodness.

Ice cream:
Mint Chip Ice Cream-So Good and Tasty
Melon Sorbet
Banana, Date, and Coconut Raw Ice Cream-Alkaline Sisters
Raspberry Ice Cream-Delightful Delicacies

Popsicle:
Double Rainbow Quick Pops-Zoku Blog
Fresh Fruit Popsicles-The Little Red House
Green Smoothie Popsicles

Happy Fourth of July Weekend! It's my favorite holiday. And I'm having a serious passionate love with every thing American.
